This month’s A Knight’s View newsletter highlights key upcoming events and initiatives. Notably, the State Charity Gala on December 8th at the Wannamoisett Country Club will be a significant fundraising event supporting the Rhode Island State Council’s charitable programs. Knights are encouraged to contribute by attending or donating items for the auction and Wine Grab.
The Holiday Harvest of Hope on November 17th invites Knights to assist in assembling and distributing food for those in need, fostering fellowship and community support. Additionally, on November 24th, the Christ the King Mass and Brunch at the Cathedral of SS. Peter & Paul will benefit the Patriotic Degree.
Alongside these events, the newsletter also provides updates on programs like Coats for Kids and the 40 Days for Life campaign. More details can be found on the state website, kofcri.org.
The Knights & Vincentians: Holiday Harvest of Hope program is a collaboration between the Knights of Columbus and St. Vincent de Paul Rhode Island to support families in need during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Councils will run food drives from October 26 to November 17, followed by a meal box assembly event on November 17 at the SVdP Headquarters in Cranston. Councils will compete to collect the most food, with rewards for the top contributors.
