David G. Bebyn has been a Knight since 2005, and at the May 2014 State Convention, he was elected State Warden. Over the years, he has served the State Council as District Deputy, Membership Director, Retention Chairman, and Chair of the State Finance Committee.
David is a Past Grand Knight, having served as the 82nd Grand Knight of Woonsocket Council 113. Under his leadership as Grand Knight for two terms, the council achieved Star Council for the fraternal year 2010. He also served six years as Financial Secretary of that Council, being only the 14th FS in the 119-year history of the Council.
He is a Fourth Degree Knight belonging to the General Stephen J. Moylan Assembly #1057 and a Past Faithful Navigator, having served as Pilot, Captain, and Faithful Navigator. Additionally, he was elected as a Delegate from Rhode Island to the 2010 Supreme Convention held in Washington, DC.
David has served five terms as State Degree and Ceremonial Chairman and was a member of the state degree teams. As State Membership Director for three terms beginning in the fraternal year 2012, the State achieved positive growth at the end of that fraternal year for the first time since 1988.
His family and he have been honored by the State Council, being selected as Family of the Month in January 2009 by Woonsocket Council & Supreme Council and as the 2011 Family of the Year for Rhode Island. David was also named the 2012 Knight of the Year for Rhode Island.
In May 2021, at the Rhode Island State Council Convention, David was elected for a second term as State Secretary. He served as Rhode Island State Deputy for two terms from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2024. He currently holds the position of Immediate Past State Deputy.
He is also a member of the parish Finance Council of All Saints Church of Woonsocket and actively supports many parish activities.
David is happily married to his wife, Ann, and they are blessed with two wonderful children, Craig and Elizabeth. Craig, a Fourth Degree Knight, followed in his father's footsteps on his eighteenth birthday by joining the order. It was David's honor as a Conferring Officer to knight him a Third Degree Knight.
