Jeffrey A. Gaulin has been elected as the State Advocate of the Knights of Columbus - Rhode Island State Council. A dedicated member since 2005, Jeffrey has demonstrated unwavering commitment and leadership throughout his tenure with the organization.
Jeffrey has served Knights of Columbus Woonsocket, RI Council 113 in various roles, including Warden, Chancellor, and Grand Knight. Under his leadership as Grand Knight, the council achieved Star Council status. As Membership Director from 2011 to 2014, he played a key role in helping the council achieve Star and Double Star Council honors.
Beyond his contributions to Woonsocket Council, Jeffrey has been an integral part of Gen. Stephen J. Moylan Assembly #1057, holding positions such as Comptroller, Pilot, Captain, Color Corps Commander, Navigator, and Admiral. He served as Executive Secretary to the Master of the 4th Degree from 2013 to 2016 and has been District Marshall since 2019.
Jeffrey's dedication has been recognized with several prestigious awards. He was named Sir Knight of the Year for the 2014-2015 Fraternal Year for General Stephen J. Moylan Assembly and Knight of the Year for the 2015-2016 Fraternal Year for Woonsocket Council #113. In 2015, he was elected as a Delegate for Rhode Island to the Supreme Convention held in Philadelphia, PA. Additionally, he served as District Deputy for State Deputy Peter Lentini during the 2014-2015 fraternal year.
As RI State Program Director from 2016 to 2020, Jeffrey helped the state achieve Circle of Honor awards for 2016-2017 from Supreme. He expanded the RI State Program team and led the reformation of the Faith in Action Program Team, which continues to serve the State office and councils today. Jeffrey also spearheaded the re-establishment of the Parish Council at St. John Vianney Parish in May 2017 and was Co-Recipient of the 2017-2018 RI State Council Knight of the Year award.
Jeffrey and his family were honored as the Family of the Year for the 125th Anniversary of Council #113 for the 2019-2020 fraternal year. From 2020 to 2022, he served as RI State Membership Director, achieving the state's online membership goals during that period. Since July 1, 2022, Jeffrey has been serving as the RI State Warden.
In addition to his extensive service within the Knights of Columbus, Jeffrey is actively involved in his parish, St. Joseph’s in Woonsocket, where he serves on the Finance Council and supports the parish as a lecturer and Eucharistic Minister. He is a devoted husband to his wife Sue and a proud father to their sons, Nick Gaulin, PGK and former RI State College Coordinator, and Andrew Gaulin, former Financial Secretary at Council #113.
